I triumphed over tonic-clonic epilepsy in my early 20s, and it was during my journey through a life sciences program at the University of Toronto, where I aimed to become a medical doctor, that I found my true calling in acupuncture.
For over five years, I endured relentless seizures that left me unable to live independently. In a state of despair, and after finding no solace in Western medicine for more than 5 years, I began searching for alternatives. This quest led me to Traditional Oriental Medicine, thanks to a Korean-Chinese practitioner I met in Toronto.
Within just six months of dedicated acupuncture and herbal medicine treatments, my seizures came to an end. Today, I celebrate over fifteen years of being seizure-free. Convinced of its effectiveness, I believe acupuncture and traditional medicine can offer safe alternatives alongside conventional Western medical treatments.
Through rigorous training under esteemed global experts, I’ve gained experience in treating a wide array of conditions, including:
Musculoskeletal pain (acute, chronic, sports injuries, or resulting from auto accidents)
Internal conditions (insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), constipation, other digestive disorders, and migraines)
Mental health challenges like stress, anxiety, depression, and ADHD
Women’s health concerns, including PMS, menstrual irregularities, hormonal imbalances, and infertility
And more.
In my holistic approach, I employ a variety of techniques such as cupping, gua sha, electroacupuncture, and acupotomy to tailor each treatment to the individual’s needs.
Beyond clinical practice, I remain committed to continuous learning and professional development, actively participating in seminars and conferences related to research. In my free time, I’m passionate about providing healthcare support in underserved areas, ensuring that essential medical aid reaches those most in need.
I graduated from PCU College of Holistic Medicine and am a registered acupuncturist. Fluent in both Korean and English, I proudly serve a diverse clientele, bridging cultures through my work.
